VP of HR, Fidelity Investments
Mary Clermont is vice president, Human Resources for Personal Investing at Fidelity Investments.
Since March 2016 Mary has been on a team responsible for the end to end transformation of the associate experience. This includes reimagining the policies and perks for the front line associates to create a culture that is warmer and friendlier and uniquely Fidelity. Prior to this, she served as the Human Resources business partner to National Branch and Wealth Management team. She directly supported the HR programs of over 4,000 associates by development of strategic plans and practices including talent retention, engagement, compensation, staffing, and workforce planning which supported key priorities of the business strategy.
Prior to this, she supported the Regional Contact Centers and executed HR programs and initiatives including support the rapid growth of the business as well as talent programs and practices. A few notable challenges included delivering the culture of coaching to meet the business’ strategic leadership priorities and successfully hiring over 2,000 associates per year to support the rapidly growing of the organization. This also led to the identification of a new geography and implementation of the new Denver location for Fidelity.
Prior to joining Fidelity Investments in 2011, Mary served as a Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Putnam Investments. She started her career in the United States Army and was based in Frankfurt, Germany as a captain and company commander.
Mary received her bachelor of science degree in Chemistry from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York.
